Let's Get Started

From my first meeting with Gavin I felt listened to and respected with my very detailed list of wants. I had very specific design ideas that I wanted to achieve and Gavin went above and beyond to ensure these were realistic. Gavin was always prompt and professional in our interaction and when something needed to be modified he ensured that happened to my satisfaction. Gavin was a huge part in making my dream retirement cottage a reality I’m beyond happy with the outcome I have and would not hesitate to recommend Gavin for your job.

We recently worked with Gavin O'Donnell Building Design on a home extension project, and we couldn’t be happier with the process and result.
Gavin is incredibly knowledgeable, bringing a wealth of expertise and practical solutions to our design, including solutions and designs that we hadn't even considered!
From the outset, Gavin demonstrated a high level of professionalism, while being approachable and extremely easy to work with, making the entire process seamless and stress-free. Communication throughout was clear and timely.
The final design, and the now constructed result, has more than exceeded our expectations. Huge thanks to Gavin for delivering a well-considered, thoughtful, detailed and clearly documented design. If you’re looking for a building designer who is skilled, professional, and genuinely invested in your project’s success, we highly recommend Gavin O'Donnell Building Design.

This was our first house build. Gavin was great at providing insight into reasons why a design should be done a certain way, providing alternatives and overall guidance with the process. He made the process so seamless and easy and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome

We recently engaged Gavin to design an extension to our Queenslander cottage in Brisbane. This included 2 new bedrooms, a living space, WIR and ensuite. From the first meeting Gavin was great to work with. He understood our brief, budget and the outcome that we were hoping to achieve. He worked closely with us through the design process and handover to the builders was seamless. He communicated clearly and promptly throughout the whole process. We are thrilled with the result as we now have a beautiful home which will suit our needs for years to come.

Our design was pretty special to us however Gavin and his team made this come to life with their flair and expertise and created a more simplified design based on our requirements and the end result is, well …. WOW, and we absolutely love it. Great and easy to work with, we highly recommend Gavin and his team to anyone contemplating a new build or redesign.

Gavin O'Donnell at Gavin O'Donnell Building Design has been designing a pool house separate to a new home build for me.
He has completely understood the brief on the look and finish I wanted, to compliment the house and pool.
From day 1, Gavin has been so easy to communicate with, so interested in the projected and has made terrific suggestions about the layout of the building for its purpose.
He has had to coordinate with several other people involved in the total build and has done this patiently and considerately.
Gavin understands local Council regulations and confirms all aspects are correct in the design for building approval.
I highly recommend Gavin for your design and building project planning. He is excellent at his profession.

Gavin was fabulous to work with.
He put our ideas into a Modern / Coastal design, communicating his thoughts and ideas not only with us but with our building team along the way.
Highly Recommend his work. Description goes here

Gavin and his team were outstanding for our residential project. They are very professional and knowledgeable, prompt, and personable (a combination which seems to be hard to find these days in the building process!)

Gavin and his team went above and beyond for me. Communication was fantastic and they simplified everything for me and took away the stress of it all! Thanks team!

Gavin worked with us to design our home, he somehow put together our crazy ideas and managed to make it fit to the block and work around the sun. We couldn’t be happier and can’t recommend him highly enough.
